Community Planning means the public, private and voluntary sectors working together to deliver better services in Aberdeenshire.
Our website shows how we work towards our goal of achieving the “best quality of life for everyone in Aberdeenshire”. Partners work together at a strategic and local level to deliver our priorities through the Local Outcomes Improvement Plan, Local Community Plans and the Locality Plan. Aberdeenshire
Aberdeenshire is currently home to around 258,000 people and by 2037 the population of Aberdeenshire is projected to be 299,813 (an increase of 17.3% from 2012 figures). To assist in providing services to residents, Aberdeenshire is split into six administrative areas:
A variety of diverse and unique communities make-up each area, spanning into the Cairngorms National Park in the West, bordering with Angus in the South and the North Sea coastline in the East and North.
Each administrative area is served by a Local Community Planning Group and various local sub-groups.
