A number of Communities in Banff and Buchan have developed Community Action Plans
- Community Action Surveys bring together local communities over a period of time, using locally employed people to gather information on the issues and concerns in the locality.
- Community Action Plans are developed by communities following a community engagement exercise, usually following an exercise called Planning for Real. During the Planning for Real process communities are consulted on what they would like to see in their community using a 3 dimensional representation of the settlement and the opportunity to add comments. The outcome of this process is a Community Action Plan that details that particular communities’ priorities for the years ahead. These priorities can then be reflected in the Area’s Local Community Plan and reflected within Aberdeenshire’s SOA, where appropriate.
