 Aberdeenshire Youth Council Awards

Aberdeenshire Youth Council Awards are due to take place on Friday 22nd June at Meldrum Academy. This will give every young person a chance to be recognised for the hard-work they have put in to categories such as Unsung Hero, Sport and Enterprise.

Your Voice Survey
The 'Your Voice' project is funded by Aberdeenshire Council and delivered by the Mearns and Coastal Healthy Living Network.  The purpose of the project is to explore ways of engaging with older people and involving older people in the planning of health and care services. Deadline for the survey is 31st October 2011.

Active Hub Project
This is a completely free project providing sporting activities and much more, including art, dance & cooking on a Friday night.  The project caters for children from 10-16 year olds (and provides volunteering opportunities for older children) at risk of using drugs or alcohol.  The Active Hub takes place at Fraserburgh JIC building, Inverurie Academy and Stonehaven Leisure Centre, with variation on the activities between venues.

Equalities Act 2010

Consumer Focus Scotland / New Volunteers

Oral Health Survey, NHS Grampian / University of Aberdeen
The survey will see 6,000 questionnaires posted to randomly selected Grampian residents. It is hoped that the survey will provide valuable information about the oral health of people in Grampian and will help NHS Grampian to improve access to NHS dental services. 

Being Young is not a Crime, Scottish Youth Parliament
The SYP is working on a campaign entitled "Being Young is not a Crime" to help change perceptions of young people. The survey is currently open.

Maintenance of Open Spaces, GreenStat
Local residents have the opportunity to comment on the quality of their open spaces and how well they feel these are being managed and maintained.
