The new Community Learning and Development Strategy for 2009-2012 has been approved by the Community Planning Board. 

The Aberdeenshire CVS Training Initiative has launched a new website.

The RESPECT booklet - Sharing Our Experience - was launched on 7 June 2008 by Councillor Anne Robertson and Councillor John Stewart on behalf of Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City Community Planning Partnerships. For further information, visit the RESPECT website

The Valuing Young People Conference took place on 11th December 2007 and helped to further the Youth Engagement Strategy.  Participants developed networks across Aberdeenshire, gained knowledge and experience and, through a number of workshops, discovered resources available for use in this field.

HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) have recently undertaken their How Good is Our Community Learning and Development 2 Inspection. The report is now available to read.

A series of workshops relating to the More Choices, More Chances Strategy took place in September 2007 throughout Aberdeenshire. These have helped to map what networks already exist for young people and what service interventions may be required.
