Marr Community Plan

Marr Community Plan 2010 - 2014

The Marr Community Plan 2010 - 2014 is now complete,  it is a working plan made up of key actions and projects aimed at improving services and the quality of life in our area it reflects the contribution that all of us, whether we represent agencies, organisations or communities can make to the area we live in, especially when we work together for positive change.

The Marr Community Plan links to other plans, of particular interest for communities are your Community Action Plans (CAPs). Local Community Plans cannot reflect all actions identified in all CAPs in their area. However, if similar actions have appeared in more than one CAP then we have, wherever possible, included a composite action in the plan.

A23 Work closely with commumities to improve local parks in order to increase usage by residents and implrove the tourist opportunities across Marr subject to funding and local involvement.

a) modernise the Cooper Park play area and surroundings to meet the needs of children and young people in Huntly

b) set up a park user group for:

  • Monaltrie Park, Ballater
  • King George V and Belfield Parks, Banchory
  • Haughton Country Park, Alford

to explore thier future use and development.

The first completed monitoring reports for this Community Plan will be uploaded by December 2010.  I will provide the initial monitoring documents with all performance indictors through the links below by the end of July 2010.  This will give you an idea of the steps that will be taken to achieve each action.
