Formartine in Bloom Competition

The Formartine Partnership began organising this competition every summer in 2005. In 2006, sixteen Formartine communities entered and all were represented at the awards ceremony.

Winners in each category received £150 and all participating communities received a certificate. Judges came from two organisations, the Aberdeenshire Environmental Forum and Leith Hall Garden and Estate. 

The competition showcases the displays and design in many of the towns and villages and the work that goes into keeping Formartine communities attractive. It is hoped that the  success of the project will encourage more entrants in 2007.
