The Formartine Partnership is a network of local people, groups and organisations who work together to promote active and sustainable communities. They have two key priorities:

• to provide a community based approach to the development of Formartine and the Ythan Valley
• to provide a network to facilitate and support community group action in Formartine

The partnership can also offer specialist help in the following areas:

Community Transport
The Formartine Partnership has come together with a range of community transport organisations in the area to address some of the transport issues within our communities. It has produced a set of leaflets highlighting some of the Community Transport initiatives currently available in the Formartine area.

Community Consultation
The partnership assists with consultations that can help address local issues. The Planning for Real model helps local people identify their priorities for development of their area, using a community-built model of their village or local features as a focal point for discussion.

Tourism Sub-Group
The partnership has set up a tourism sub-group to address tourism issues in Formartine.
