The democratically elected local authority that provides education, social work, housing, recreation, environmental health, planning, roads, consumer protection and many other services for the people of Aberdeenshire.
Our role is to lead efforts to achieve a healthier, happier and safer Aberdeenshire, free from harm due to alcohol and other drugs. We are working towards this goal by following the plans laid out in our strategy.
We are an amalgamation of three former separate charities – Bridge CVS (North), CVS Aberdeenshire (Central & South) and Volunteer Centre Aberdeenshire. We look forward to building on the strong foundations of those organisations and working together to provide a single point of access where the community groups, voluntary organisations, charities, social enterprises, co-operatives and individuals that make up Aberdeenshire’s diverse Third Sector can find the support and advice they need. We are one of the 32 Third Sector Interfaces across Scotland.
Our purpose is to develop and deliver a long-term regional transport strategy and take forward strategic transport improvements that support and improve the economy, environment and quality of life across Aberdeen City and Shire.
Proudly working together to improve our health: “Caring, Listening and Improving”
Our vision is to improve the health of the people of Grampian, by increasing the rate at which the health of the population improves, and at the same time narrowing the gap in health between our most disadvantaged and most affluent communities. We will strive to provide services that have patients at the heart of the service, receiving safe, high quality treatment on the basis of clinical need, when they need it and within comfortable surroundings.
We will be a catalyst for real and positive change in Scotland’s skills performance. We will help individuals to realise their full potential, we will help employers be more successful through skills development, and we will work in meaningful partnership to enhance Scotland’s sustainable economic development.
